The Russian Federation has now begun to modernize 500 kg high-explosive bombs, equipping them with special wing systems and GPS, so as not to penetrate the air defense zone
The spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, said that the Russian army uses new tactics every time to carry out attacks, an example of which is the attack of yesterday night. He said this on the air of the telethon.
According to Ignat, the Russians “first used shaheds during the day, and then at night, realizing that mobile fire groups could not destroy them as effectively during the day.
“But we did not stand still, and mobile fire teams receive from our partners, from volunteers, modern equipment that helps to destroy Shahedin even at night,” he said.
The spokesman of the Air Force of Ukraine added that all new advanced weapons are now in use, in particular, this applies to winged bombs.
“We also use such bombs, but not as many as we would like,” Ignat said.
According to him, the Russian Federation has now begun to modernize 500 kg high-explosive bombs, equipping them with special wing systems and GPS, so as not to enter the air defense zone and fire on the fronts – line zone.
Such a bomb will not fly far, but even the 10-20 km it can fly will cause damage. This is a new threat, and we have to respond to it. Long-range air defense systems and, of course, aviation are modern aircraft capable of driving Rosaviation away from our borders,” said Ignat.
It will be remembered that on the night of March 31, the Russian army launched ten Shahed attack drones in Ukraine, nine of which shot down the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Later, the Air Force Command demonstrated the successful combat work of air defense against Russian attack drones.
