The Ukrainian army is preparing to launch a counter-offensive. The Ministry of Defense has admitted that this will happen in the spring and summer.
The North Atlantic Alliance aims to provide the Ukrainian military with everything it needs for a future counter-offensive, which could take place this spring. This was announced on Thursday, March 30, by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in a video briefing.
“NATO intends to provide Ukraine with everything it needs for a counter-offensive. The allies will discuss this at the upcoming ministerial meeting in Brussels,” the White House spokesman said.
It is known that the meeting of defense ministers of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance will be held in Brussels from 3 to 5 April.
Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny appealed to the Western allies with an appeal to provide the Ukrainian military with F-16 fighters.
The Minister of Defense said that the successful offensive of the Ukrainian army depends on three factors.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine could not yet launch the counteroffensive announced earlier, as it was waiting for a sufficient amount of weapons from partners.
