In the near future, Ukraine will receive from the allies about 200 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs).
According to Bild, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon receive more than 100 American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and 50 Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, as well as 40 French AMX-10RC light tanks.
The countdown to Day X begins. The day when the powerful Ukrainian armed forces, equipped with modern Western weapons systems, will begin to retake their country from the Russian occupiers, the article says.
Military analyst Colonel Petro Chernik, in a commentary for the Military Media Center, noted that the arrival of modern Western tanks and other armored vehicles in Ukraine will certainly help to achieve success at the front.
Our large armor package is growing, it is unprecedented since World War II,” said Petro Chernik, commenting on the arrival of British Challenger 2 tanks and German-made Leopard 2 tanks in Ukraine.
He added that the supply of infantry fighting vehicles such as the M2 Bradley and Marder is equally important.
If our allies provide us with such a colossal amount of equipment, then they understand well what is needed for serious operations, the analyst said.
Petr Chernik explained that the Challenger 2, Leopard 2 and pre-arrival American M1 Abrams tanks dominate all Russian equipment, in particular in terms of aiming.
According to him, these tanks have thermal imaging, laser, very high-quality optical sights and can operate at a distance of more than 3 km at any time of the day and in any weather.
Under such conditions, Russian armored vehicles turn into partridges in a field that a hunter with a high-quality gun has entered, the expert said.
He added that the Ukrainian military commanders determine the time, place and method of using the armored fist.
Ukrainian troops have already received Leopard 2 tanks from a number of countries, including Poland, Germany, and Portugal.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov suggested that this equipment could be involved in hostilities as early as April-May.
