minimum 37 migrants died in a fire at the National Institute for Migration (INM) station in Ciudad Juarez, on Mexico’s northern border, official sources told the EFE news agency on Tuesday.

In the area of ​​the incident, near the Rio Grande, which separates Mexico and the United States, EFE found dozens of body bags of migrants killed in the fire.

The authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident, so President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is expected to report the incident at his morning press conference.

Dozens of migrants survived, mostly from Venezuela.

The origin of the fire is still unknown, but eyewitnesses told local media that it started in the area where the men were. migrants survived, and some of them were trapped.
