The invaders failed to destroy the Ukrainian army aviation, although they tried to do this from the first days of the invasion. The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, announced this on March 26 in Telegram.
The general also posted a video online showing Ukrainian helicopters attacking hostile positions. On the footage you can see the combat work of the units of the 16th and 18th brigades.
Recall that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that they needed Western aircraft of the fourth generation “plus”, which underwent a deep modernization. Ukraine needs a Western aviation platform to use modern weapons – high-precision corrected aerial bombs, cruise missiles, air-to-air and air-to-surface guided missiles.
