Romanian President Klaus Iohannis announced further support for Moldova from the EU against the backdrop of Russia’s aggression.
The European Union will give Moldova additional support, due to the fact that Russia is now trying to destabilize the situation in the country. This is what Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said on the sidelines of the EU summit, according to the Moldovan edition of NewsMaker on Wednesday, March 23.
“I would like to separately note that my colleagues and I discussed the support of Moldova. Moldova will receive additional significant assistance, support from the EU, and we believe that this is very important, both for Moldova and for us , and for the whole of Europe,” he said.
The Romanian leader added that it is unacceptable to allow Moldova to become a victim of disinformation, hybrid attacks and verbal threats from Russia.
Recall that the Parliament of Moldova condemned Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The representatives adopted a declaration in which they called on the Russian Federation to immediately stop hostilities in the neighboring country.
