Poland receives compensation from the European Peace Fund for providing Ukraine with military-technical support.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland received 43 million euros from the European Union for the supply of military aid to Ukraine. Portal Samorządowy reported it.
According to the prime minister, Poland receives compensation from the European Peace Fund for providing Ukraine with military-technical support.
“We are not only buying weapons from other countries, which are more modern than what we supply, but at the same time we are strengthening our army,” said Morawiecki.
He noted that Poland intends to receive another 240 million euros as compensation for the military assistance provided to Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received T-72 tanks, artillery shells and ammunition, man-portable air defense systems and unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, Poland is teaching the Ukrainian military how to maintain Leopard 2 tanks and Krab howitzers.
Recall that Poland will join the agreement on the purchase of ammunition for Ukraine.
