From the ports of Greater Odessa on Wednesday, March 22, three ships left with 112.4 thousand tons of agricultural products for Africa and Asia. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
It was noted that Ukraine sent 30,000 tons of humanitarian wheat to Ethiopia as part of the “grain initiative”. The bulk carrier DENIZ M, which will deliver cargo to Ethiopia, is the 17th vessel chartered by the UN World Food Programme. In total, under the auspices of the WFP, more than half a million tons of Ukrainian wheat have been delivered to needy countries in Africa and Asia.
In addition, the bulk carrier BC CALLISTO with 30.5 thousand tons of wheat is heading to Algeria, and the bulk carrier IOANNIS THEO will deliver 52 thousand tons of wheat to Vietnam.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, four ships are moving along the “grain corridor” to load 122,000 tons of agricultural products.
Since August 1, 2022, 833 ships have left the ports of Greater Odessa, exporting 25.3 million tons of Ukrainian food to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.
