Ukrainian technical specialists are working in Slovakia on receiving MiG-29 fighters, which the country is transferring to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced by Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy, writes Teraz.
“Technicians from Ukraine have been in Slovakia for several days, inspecting the fighters and carrying out the acceptance process,” he said.
According to the minister, Ukrainian specialists brought the spare parts needed for replacing the fighters so that the MiGs could be finalized before being delivered to Ukraine.
Nyad noted that this process should take several weeks.
Recall that Slovakia approved the transfer of 13 MiG-29 fighters, as well as anti-aircraft missile systems Kub for the needs of Ukraine.
In return, Slovakia will receive 12 Bell AH-1Z Viper combat helicopters from the United States at a significant discount.
