The registry is being created to provide public access to up-to-date information about all entities subject to sanctions.
In a meeting on March 20, the Parliament adopted in the first reading a bill providing for the creation of the Register of State Sanctions. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the Application of Sanctions proposed to specify that the State Register of Sanctions is an automatic system for collecting, storing, protecting, calculating, searching and providing information about all subjects on which sanctions have been applied.
The registry is created to provide public access to up-to-date and reliable information about all entities subject to sanctions.
The procedure for maintaining and accessing the Register is determined by the Regulations on the State Register of Sanctions, which must be approved by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The register will indicate

grounds for applying, modifying or removing sanctions;

list of penalties;
-
state bodies responsible for implementing the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the application, modification or cancellation of national sanctions;

a list of people who have been sanctioned, and information about their identity.
The draft law also provides changes that establish a special deadline for filing an application with the court, that is, during martial law.
The document also proposes to amend the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine, according to which the terms (up to 30 days) for consideration of such cases in the court of first and appeal opportunities are increased.
Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions against 120 individuals and 287 legal entities.
It was previously reported that EU authorities have extended sanctions against people responsible for destroying or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
