Manhattan District Attorney warns office about intimidation after Trump arrests thug

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg reportedly warned employees not to give in to intimidation and threats following former President Donald Trump’s “Thulth Social” debate, which called for protests if he were arrested Tuesday.

Bragg, in an email to his employees obtained by Politico and NBC News, referred to the “continued media attention and public comment” about an office investigation and reminded employees that their safety is a priority.

The prosecutor’s message comes as his office investigates undisclosed cash payments to Stormy Daniels during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Bragg did not refer to the former president by name in his email.

“We do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York,” Bragg wrote. “Our law enforcement partners will ensure that any specific or credible threat against the office is fully investigated and that appropriate safeguards are in place so that all 1,600 of us have a safe working environment.”

Bragg added that it is committed to maintaining a safe work environment for employees.

“In the meantime, as in all of our investigations, we will continue to enforce the law fairly and equitably and speak publicly only when appropriate,” he wrote.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office did not immediately respond to a HuffPost request for comment.

The email came after the former president, in an all-caps rant to his supporters, called for “PROTEST [to] TAKE BACK NATION NATION” in posts that refer to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The riot followed a report that New York law enforcement was preparing for a possible indictment.

Several Republicans have since come out in support of Trump, including his former vice president, Mike Pence, who told reporters that the idea of impeaching a former president “deeply concerns him.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also referred to Bragg as “a radical prosecutor” and argued that he is “letting violent criminals go while they pursue political vendetta” against the former president.
