Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions against Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad. This is confirmed by the decree signed by the head of state.
The restrictions against the Syrian leader will be in effect for 10 years. The document blocks Assad’s assets, if they are in Ukraine, and prohibits any trade operations.

The new sanctions list includes 300 people, including three Syrians, Russians and one Ukrainian (Viktor Slobolinsky from Crimea, also has Russian citizenship).
In addition, in another application, 141 legal entities fell under sanctions, including two from the occupied Crimea – Autonomous non-profit organization Institute of Marine Instrumentation and Robotics And Evpatoria Aviation Repair Plant.
