Maria Zakharova called the warrant of the International Criminal Court for the arrest of the Russian president a “recipe”.

The decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague on the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin is not important for the aggressor country from a legal point of view. In such a statement, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, hastened to make on Friday, March 17.

“Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and has no obligations under it. Russia does not cooperate with this body, and the possible “recipes” for arrest coming from the International Court are legally void for us,” said Zakharova.

It will be recalled that on March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin and the children’s ombudsman in the Russian Federation, Maria Alekseevna Lvovo-Belova. They are suspected of involvement in the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.

The previous day, the UN investigative commission said that the departure of Ukrainian children to Russia could be considered a war crime.

Earlier it was reported about the meeting between Putin and Lvova-Belova. Then he said that in the Russian Federation the number of those wishing to “adopt” children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is allegedly growing.

In this regard, Maria Lvova-Belova boasted that she personally “adopted” a 15-year-old teenager from temporarily occupied Mariupol.
