The commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the “air coalition” can work like a “tank coalition.”
On Thursday, March 16, the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), General Mykola Oleshchuk, proposed at a meeting of the Commanders of the Armed Forces of NATO member countries to create a ” aviation coalition” that will help Ukraine acquire modern aviation. This was announced by the spokesman of the command of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat on the air of the national telethon Unifying news.
“Today ended the symposium of the Commanders of the Air Forces of NATO member countries, in which General Nikolai Oleshchuk, Commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, took part. He spoke about many things, what happening now on the front, what kind of power is needed to increase the potential of our air defense system both ground and air system,” he said.
The Commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine turned to his colleagues from NATO with a proposal to create an aviation coalition under the slogan Victory in heaven is false on earthadded Ignat.
“Victory in the sky is really forged on the ground, and such an ‘air coalition’ can work like a ‘tank coalition.’ Airspace over Ukrainian territory was quickly occupied and our ground troops were assisted,” the spokesman said.
He also answered the question of how the meeting participants reacted to such a proposal. According to him, their reaction should be shown in the actions and “perhaps in the statements of some leaders.”
As already reported by the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukraine needs F-16 fighters to protect against Russian rocket attacks on cities and critical infrastructure.
Recall that Ukraine’s allied countries could transfer F-16 fighters and long-range weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at a decisive turning point in the war with Russia.
