Recall that the platoon commander kicked a conscript soldier in the barracks of the training center of the Zhytomyr region. The video got on the Internet, the officer was removed, now he asks for forgiveness.
The beating took place in the 190th training center in the village of Guyva, Zhytomyr region, informs the “First Zhytomyr”. The officer in the video is the commander of the 2nd platoon of the security company, Lieutenant Viktor Vitusevich.
An audio recording, allegedly made during the conflict, has also been published online. The officer, with a Russian curse, scolds his subordinate for not warning him about the colonel’s visit.
After the publicity, Vitusevich recorded a video message in which he admitted his guilt and stated that he was ready for punishment. He makes it clear that he beat the soldier because he abused alcohol.
Alcohol in the army is unacceptable. This is death at the front, this is a risk to the life of the entire unit, wherever it is – on exercises or in the area of combat operations. This is unacceptable and should be strictly prohibited. I will be responsible for my actions, there is no doubt about it, but this will not change my attitude towards alcohol in the army,” Vitusevich said.
