The Russian army continued to attempt an offensive in five directions and opened fire on peaceful communities in Ukraine.
The Russian Federation does not abandon its intentions to occupy Ukraine and continues to conduct offensive operations, regardless of losses. The enemy is focused on the main efforts in the directions of Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Shakhtyorsky, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning report on March 16.
It is emphasized that in the past day the enemy has made more than 75 attacks.
In the directions of Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky, the operational situation did not change significantly, the formation of offensive groups of the enemy was not detected. In the training area of the Republic of Belarus, units of the Russian occupation troops are being trained. Also, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas.
Under the direction of Kupyansky and Limansky, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the Gryanikovka, Belogorovka and Disputed areas.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy does not abandon attempts to attack the city of Bakhmut. The defenders of Ukraine repelled several enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Bogdanovka.
Under the direction of Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Mining, the invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Stepnoye, Kamenka, Avdeevka, Severnoye, Netaylovo, Pervomayskoye, Nevelskoye, Maryinka and Ugledar. In the indicated sector of the front, in the past day, most of the attacks were recorded in the area of Maryinka – 12, all of them were rejected.
In the direction of Zaporizhia and Kherson, the enemy is conducting defensive operations.
In all these directions, the Russian army opened fire on peaceful cities and villages. In the past day, the enemy has launched three missile strikes, including on the civilian infrastructure of Kharkov. He also conducted 29 air strikes and 79 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
“The probability of further enemy attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high,” the General Staff insisted.
In the past day, the Ukrainian aviation carried out 16 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the invaders. One enemy Su-25 aircraft and 13 drones were shot down.
Missile troops and artillery units hit the command post, three enemy personnel and military equipment concentration areas, as well as two radar stations, an electronic warfare station and a missile system anti-aircraft in a firing position.
It will be remembered that, as of March 15, since the beginning of the war, the Russian Federation has lost 160,540 soldiers in Ukraine, as well as 3,484 tanks, 304 aircraft and 289 helicopters.
