Police rescue eight women victims of alleged sexual exploitation in Cercado de Lima.

“Even though it looks like a reception, it is a reception, because here we found people who were subjected to violence, threats, and, most likely, they are being treated by these organized gangs. The detainees will be handed over to State ministry and later judiciary”, – said Colonel Juan Carlos Montufar, head Department of Human Trafficking.

On the other hand, it became known that foreigners are Venezuelans and will also be transferred to the prosecutor’s office to clarify their legal status.

The national police also intervened on Saturday evening at the Las 4P VIP brothel, formerly known as Las Cucardas, and rescued 40 women, including Peruvian and foreign women, who were allegedly being sexually exploited by a group of subjects. Twelve Ecuadorians, ten Colombians, nine Venezuelans and nine Peruvians were found in different rooms of the premises.

National police officers, together with personnel from the municipality of Lima, carried out an operation last month between the patches of Chancay and Larrabure in Sercado, where they found various hostels. They came to the area to intervene with people involved in the alleged crime of human trafficking and even shut down buildings where prostitution was practiced.

The police officers intervened in the various institutions with the corresponding closure and for this reason they closed the said crossing that connects with Alfonso Ugarte, Nicolás de Pierola Avenue and next to the Arzobispo Loais Hospital.

According to the Vice Mayor, Renzo Regiardo, commented that four girls who were allegedly involved in sexual exploitation had been rescued. In addition, he said that 200 people were arrested.
