Ukraine hopes to get more air defense systems and munitions from allies.
A new meeting of the Ramstein format will be held on Wednesday, March 15. This was announced by Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov on Tuesday, March 14, on his Facebook page.
According to the minister, on Tuesday, he and the head of the defense department of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren, visited the regions of Mykolaiv and Odessa, where they discussed “important issues in preparation for the next meeting in the Ramstein format , which will be held. on March 15.”
The previous meeting in the Ramstein format was held on February 14 at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The meeting was attended by representatives of 54 countries.
On the eve of the upcoming meeting in the Ramstein format, Reznikov spoke on the phone with the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin. The minister said he exchanged “opinions on our cooperation and the path to success” with his American counterpart.
Recall that Reznikov participated in an informal meeting of defense ministers of the countries of the European Union, where they discussed the acceleration of the supply of ammunition to Ukraine.
