A Russian Su-27 fighter jet damaged the propeller of a US MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone over the Black Sea, the drone crashed into international waters.

US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer confronted the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, and warned him against being “the cause of unintended development.” This is how an American politician reacted to today’s incident over the Black Sea using an American drone and a Russian fighter jet. about it on Tuesday, March 14, CNN reports.

He pointed out that the attack by a Russian Su-27 fighter on an American MQ-9 Reaper drone was a “reckless act” by Putin and the Russian military.

“I want to say to Putin, stop this behavior before you cause an unintended escalation,” the senator said.

He stressed that the blockade would not prevent the United States from operating over the Black Sea.

“These aggressive actions of Russian aviation are dangerous and can lead, I repeat, to an unintended escalation. The United States regularly flies over the Black Sea even before Putin’s illegal and reckless invasion of Ukraine, and for sure I think our military will continue to do so,” Schumer stressed.

It will be remembered that today, March 14, the US European Command reported that a Russian aircraft collided with an American drone in the Black Sea.

The Russian Defense Ministry said its Su-27 fighters had nothing to do with the downing of the American MQ-9 Reaper drone in the Black Sea. They also reported that he approached the Crimea and flew with violations.
