The former First Deputy Prime Minister is one of the suspects in the case of embezzlement of state funds in the amount of more than 195 million hryvnias.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court gave permission for a special investigation into the former First Deputy Prime Minister during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych – Andriy Klyuev. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram.
“On March 13, investigator Judge VAKS granted the NABU detective’s petition, approved by the SAPO prosecutor, to grant permission to conduct a special pre-trial investigation (in absentia) against the former First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine ,” the report said.
We are talking about the acquisition of public funds totaling more than 195 million Hryvnias, provided for the financing of innovative projects and investments in the real sector of the economy.
The VAKS decision will allow to complete the pre-trial investigation against Klyuev, who has been hiding in Russia since 2014, and send the case to the VAKS for consideration on the merits.
Recall that the previous President Volodymyr Zelensky was deprived of citizenship by several former ministers and officials of the Yanukovych era, including Klyuev.
