The occupiers are trying to force them to give up the so-called “L/DPR passport” in favor of Russian citizenship.
The Russian occupation authorities are continuing measures to force the passport of the population of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This was stated in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday, March 11.
“The Russian military leadership without fail requires all those mobilized from the previously occupied territories to sign long-term contracts for military service in the Russian army. To do this, it is necessary to have a copy of passport of a Russian citizen along with other documents. Thus, the occupiers are trying to leave the so-called “L/DPR passports” for Russian citizenship. Otherwise, servicemen and their family members are at risk of denial of all established payments and social protection provided for servicemen from Russia,” the report said.
It was previously reported that the Russian Federation was beginning to train personnel for occupation administrations.
