Why the interval between Russian massive missile attacks has grown, the British Ministry of Defense explained.
The increase in the interval between attacks indicates that Russia now needs to accumulate a certain number of missiles in production. This is the only way it can deliver a powerful enough strike to overcome Ukrainian air defenses, British intelligence points out. On March 9, Moscow launched a massive strike for the first time since February 16. It also appears to have been one of the biggest since December 2022.
Recall that on March 9, the Russian army launched 95 missiles of various bases. 34 missiles were destroyed by the Defense Forces, and at least eight more did not reach their targets. Also, the occupiers delivered 31 air strikes (they used eight Shahids, half of which were shot down by air defense). As a result of rocket attacks, six people were killed – five in the Lviv region and one in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Kherson also came under fire again, where three people were killed at a public transport stop.
