A terrorist state cannot be left with any opportunity to use any nuclear facilities anywhere in the world for terrorism, the president believes.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the world to impose restrictions on the aggressor country’s nuclear industry. This was said on Thursday, March 9, in the evening address of the head of state.
He stressed that no chance should be left for a terrorist state to use any nuclear facility anywhere in the world for terrorism.
At the same time, the president pointed out that as a result of the Russian missile attack on March 9, the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was again disconnected from the network.
“This is a critical situation. And Russia will deliberately create such critical situations with our nuclear facilities. It just means by definition that Russia cannot be an honest participant in any relations with nuclear sphere,” the president emphasized.
Zelensky emphasized that the sooner Russia’s nuclear industry comes under sanctions, the safer the world will be.
“We cannot leave a terrorist state without the opportunity to use any nuclear facilities anywhere in the world for terrorism,” Zelensky said.
Recall that on the night of March 9, the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was completely de-energized as a result of rocket attacks by the Russian Federation. The station lost half a day for the sixth time during the occupation.
The IAEA Director General made a statement regarding the de-energization of the ZNPP. And 49 countries demanded the withdrawal of the Russian military from the ZNPP.
