Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is back with electricity.
Ukrenergo specialists have resumed power supply to ZNPP, which was interrupted by Russian missile strikes on March 9. Atomka is switching from diesel generators to generating electricity for its own needs in the unified energy system of Ukraine. Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
Recall that the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was completely de-energized as a result of a Russian missile attack on the night of March 9. As a result, the station went into blackout mode, and the 5th and 6th power units were transferred to a cold state, 18 diesel generators were turned on to power the ZNPP’s own needs.
As a result, as a result of missile strikes, electricity generation and distribution facilities in eight regions of Ukraine were damaged. However, the power system remained intact. Although in some areas, the authorities do not exclude temporary power outages.
