Russia still uses mixed strike tactics: air and sea-based missiles, and drones, and UAVs.
The massed night attack of the Russian Federation using daggers indicates the intention to find a new tactic of strikes against Ukraine. Russia will test different options for using the missiles it has. This was said by the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Gumenyuk, on the air of Channel 24.
He noted that Russia needs more time to gather its resources.
“We are still monitoring what they call a new tactic for themselves – whether they have found it, or are still looking for it,” said Gumenyuk.
According to him, Russian troops are looking for different variations of strikes in Ukraine.
“Before the most powerful rocket attack, they (the Russians – ed.) brought all the carriers to the base points, and before that, such a “sea muscle game” continued for a long time, ” said Gumenyuk.
He said that Russia is currently using a mixed strike tactic: air- and sea-based missiles, and drones, and UAVs.
“In particular, this attack was marked by the fact that during the pause between waves they launched drones, which we also shot down, to determine the effectiveness of the first wave of the attack,” said Gumenyuk.
Before this massive attack, Russian troops in the Black Sea withdrew three surface rocket carriers, numbering 24 Caliber.
“Preliminarily, they fired 20, so the two launch vehicles currently on duty in the Black Sea obviously have four missiles,” Gumenyuk said.
It will be remembered that on the night of March 9, Russia attacked 10 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv. There were dead, power facilities were damaged.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said the rocket attack on civilian Ukrainian cities was a “massive retaliation strike” in response to an alleged terrorist attack in Russia’s Bryansk region.
