Putin is ready to fight Ukraine for years – US intelligence

Avril Haynes noted that the Kremlin leader could count on holding long-term military operations.

The head of Russia’s ruling regime, Vladimir Putin, is ready to continue the war in Ukraine for a long time, perhaps even for years. This is what US National Intelligence Director Avril Haynes said at a meeting dedicated to the annual unclassified report, CNN reports on Wednesday, March 8.

According to him, the war in Ukraine has become “a tough war of attrition, in which neither side has the ultimate military superiority.” However, the official said that Russian President Vladimir Putin “will continue this, probably for years.”

We don’t expect the Russian military to recover enough this year to make major territorial gains, but Putin is likely counting on time to play in his favor.

It will be remembered that Putin canceled a trip to the Caucasus after the so-called “sabotage” in the Bryansk region.

Later, the head of the Kremlin responded to the events that took place today in the Bryansk region with the so-called “Ukrainian saboteurs”, calling them a “terrorist attack.”
