According to unverified data, the deceased may be a soldier of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named Cherny Zaporozhets. First, a fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevgeny Karas reported that a serviceman with the call sign Magnet from this brigade had died, but later it turned out that this information was false and he was alive.
At the same time, an art with a silhouette of a soldier with a video and the inscription “Glory to the Heroes!” was published on the brigade’s official Facebook page.

Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets said he sent a video of the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war to international partners and fellow ombudsmen from other countries.
“When all over the world the words “Glory to Ukraine” evoke honor, respect and pride, the Russians shoot for the Ukrainian slogan,” wrote the Ombudsman.
The execution of a Ukrainian fighter is a violation of the Geneva Conventions, for which Russia is responsible, Lubinets added.
“It is very painful to see what the occupiers are doing to our people. Ukraine’s goal, like the entire democratic world, is to hold the Russian Federation accountable,” he added.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba appealed to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, over the execution of a military man.
“A terrible video in which an unarmed Ukrainian prisoner of war was killed by Russian troops just because he said Glory to Ukraine,” said the Foreign Minister.
“It is very important that Karim Khan immediately launches an ICC investigation into this heinous war crime. Those responsible must be brought to justice,” the minister added.
Criminal case
Criminal proceedings were opened on the fact of the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war by the Russians. The case will be handled by the SBU under the article “violation of the laws and customs of war.”
“The video of the brutal and courageous execution of an unarmed man today has galvanized society … Even war has laws. There are standards of international law that the criminal Russian regime is systematically ignoring. But soon easy, the punishment will follow.
