Electricity supply has been restored in 50 settlements of the Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions, which suffered as a result of the shelling of the Russian army.
During the week from February 27 to March 5, DTEK electrical engineers restored power supply to 36,000 households in 50 settlements of the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, which were left without electricity as a result of the shelling by the Russian army. This was reported by the company’s press service on Monday, March 6.
“In the regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk, the enemy is carrying out regular attacks, which destroy the electricity grids, and the residents are left without electricity. In just one week from February 27 to March 5 , specialists from distribution system operators have restored the operation of the power network for almost 32,000 families in the Donetsk region and 4,000 families in the Dnepropetrovsk region,” the statement said.
According to Alexander Fomenko, General Director of DTEK Grids, due to the continuous shelling, electricity had to be restored to some houses dozens of times already, and the total number of consumers to whom the electricity supply was restored reached 7.1 million since February 24 last year.
Earlier it was reported that in February in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, power engineers restored electricity to 263,000 consumers.
