In Ukraine, 464 children have already been victims of a full-scale Russian invasion. At least 931 more children were injured of varying severity.
This was announced today, March 6, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
These figures are not final. Work is underway to install them in places of warfare, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the department notes.
Children in the following regions suffered the most:
- Donetsk region – 446;
- Kharkov region – 273;
- Kyiv region – 123;
- Kherson region – 94;
- Zaporozhye region – 84;
- Mykolaiv region – 83;
- Chernihiv region – 68;
- Lugansk region – 66;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 64.
In particular, on March 5, as a result of enemy shelling of the village of Poniatovka in the Kherson region, a shell hit a private house in which there was a mother with two sons, 7 and 15 years old. All died.
Due to Russian shelling and bombing, 3,126 educational institutions have already been damaged, 438 of them have been completely destroyed.
