Evacuation from Bakhmut is critically complicated. It is extremely difficult to persuade those who remain to leave.
Now only 5-10 people a day are being evacuated from the city where the fighting is taking place, Deputy Mayor Alexander Marchenko said in a comment to CNN.
At the same time, about 600 people left the city during the peak of the evacuation.
The enemy demolishes everything in its path, strikes at multi-storey buildings and the residential sector. There are air raids, artillery shelling, mortar shelling. The enemy is hitting the city with everything they can. We cannot get there,” Marchenko stated.
He added that between 4,000 and 4,500 people now live in the city. It is difficult to convince them to evacuate, as most of them are afraid that they have nowhere to go and no one to go with.
At the same time, the deputy commander of the Svoboda battalion, Lieutenant of the National Guard Volodymyr Nazarenko, in a commentary to CNN, said that the Ukrainian military continues to keep the Konstantinovka-Bakhmut highway under their control.
The lieutenant added that the situation around Bakhmut is “hellish”, as well as on the entire eastern front.
Earlier, Rakurs reported that the Office of the President showed the completely destroyed by the Russians Marinka in the photo.
