Britain’s Prince Charles gave the Queen’s speech on Tuesday for the first time since his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, suffered what officials called an “episodic mobility problem.”
An important point was criticized by many observers.
The speech that marked the official opening of Parliament was written by government officials. In it, Charles said the administration will work to “help alleviate the cost of living for families” amid economic uncertainty.
The comments were noticed by critics as somewhat bizarre in the environment. Charles, dressed in royal attire, delivered a speech sitting on the gilded throne in the House of Lords in an important setting:
Prince Charles said the government’s top priority was “helping families alleviate the cost of living”, with a promise of “increasing capacity in all parts of the country.” https://t.co/ptiAKKkwe8 pic.twitter.com/wUydQMvAvu

A man sitting on a golden throne when he talks about the price of life is so much parody, I’m not sure even an onion can add anything to it. https://t.co/DF0IWYCkod

The next time Biden talks about reducing the cost of living, I want him to come out in a life-size painted diorama by Klimt wrapped in a gold robe made of ruby and emerald. “My fellow Americans”, he began to frown, “Amira the prices of these diapers?”

Sitting on a golden throne when he spoke to us about the value of living. Elsie, on the other hand, eats once a day and takes the bus to keep warm. Kmt. https://t.co/LxGe1GmnkD

I will never understand how we still have kings and queens in the 21st century
Live royalties, with a wealth of wealth, are given by tax -paying workers, who then appear on television on the golden throne to tell how to help the poor.
This is completely mental https://t.co/ZxqsDepOWf
