In Ukraine, there has been no shortage of power in the energy system for 21 days. The emergence of a deficit is not yet predicted.
This was announced today, March 4, by the press service of Ukrenergo.
It is noted that today electricity consumption has decreased, which is typical for the weekend.
The need for electricity is fully met by production at Ukrainian power plants and insignificant imports, Ukrenergo notes. – All types of power plants operate in the power system. The volume of available generation capacities contributes to the increase of its operational safety.
So there are no network restrictions in the areas yet. But if the situation in the energy system changes and consumption rises sharply, shutdowns may be applied, the company notes.
Ukrenergo also notes that tomorrow, March 5, additional repairs will begin at power facilities in the Odessa region, designed to improve the reliability of the region’s power supply.
Preparatory work has already begun. These are complex works on high-voltage equipment, so on Sunday, as well as on Monday, temporary restrictions on consumption are possible, the company notes.
Also, the possibility of failure during the repair work of other elements of the network that feed Odessa is not ruled out, since the energy facilities of the region have been repeatedly damaged by enemy shelling and may have hidden damage.
5.7 thousand solar panels will be transferred to Ukraine by the European Union
