A resident of the Kharkiv region, who collaborated with the enemy during the occupation of the Kupyanshchyna, was found guilty of collaborationism (part 2, part 6 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to 10 years in prison. She is also deprived of the right to hold positions in public authorities and the education system for a period of 12 years with confiscation of property.
The woman was detained in November 2022. This was announced today, March 3, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is proved that the woman moved from the Donetsk region to the village of Bolshoy Burluk, Kupyansky district. During the occupation of the settlement, she actively supported Russia’s actions against Ukraine, the prosecutor’s office notes.
It is noted that during the occupation he was convicted:
- voluntarily assumed the position of an accountant in the so-called “department of education of the military-civilian administration of the Kupyansky district of the Kharkiv region”;
- calculated wages for employees of territorial institutions of the department of education and upbringing and compiled information on receiving the so-called “material assistance” from Russia. For her work she received 25 thousand Russian rubles monthly;
- helped the occupiers to spread fakes about the positive attitude of the local population towards Russia and spread pro-Kremlin narratives. In particular, she gave an interview to Russian journalists of Channel One, in which she told how she had been waiting for Russia since 2014.
