The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has published a video with a Russian A-50 radar aircraft. The Belarusians reacted three days after the likely downing of the Russian aircraft.
The caption to the video states that the recording was allegedly made from the Machulishchi airfield.
The agency does not indicate which aircraft it is – the one that was damaged after the likely attack, or another (there are about nine such aircraft in Russia). It is also not clear when the video was filmed.
Meanwhile, the organization of the former Belarusian security forces BYPOL told the details of the attack on the A-50. So they say that the partisans used Chinese DJI quadrocopters, recycled into kamikaze drones.
Each drone carried a charge of 200 grams of TNT explosive – enough to blow up a car. Metal balls (200 pieces in each charge) were used as impressive elements.
BYPOL claims to have damaged the aircraft’s locator (antenna) and nose compartment. The damage was called significant, since the antenna would have to be completely changed.
Recall that explosions at the airfield in Machulishchi thundered on the morning of Sunday, February 26. As the head of BYPOL said, Belarusian partisans dropped explosive devices from drones on the Russian AWACS A-50, the plane was badly damaged. Officially, neither Russia nor Belarus commented on this information.
