Russia threw the most trained detachments of the Wagner PMC in the direction of Bakhmut, said Alexander Syrsky.
Russian war criminals sent the most trained assault detachments of PMC Wagner in the direction of Bakhmut. This was said by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, the Military Media Center reported on Tuesday, February 28, on his Telegram channel.
“The situation in the Bakhmut area is very tense. Despite heavy losses, the enemy launched the most trained Wagner assault detachment on the offensive, trying to break through the defenses of our troops and surround the city,” he said.
The military also added that in the battles for Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military shows many examples of steadfastness, courage and heroism.
Remember, according to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the situation in the direction of Bakhmut continues to become more complicated. The enemy is destroying everything available to protect and defend Ukrainian positions.
It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously reported that 300 shelling and 60 combat contacts took place in a segment of the front near Bakhmut during the day.
