Belarus intends to organize the serial production of drones for military needs. Some of them are planning to modernize. This was stated by the head of the State Committee for the Military Industry of Belarus, Dmitry Pantus, Belta reports.
According to him, in October 2022, the company introduced a line of drones allegedly designed and manufactured in Belarus.
“Today, our work is focused on organizing the mass production of these types of drones. And, of course, some models undergo some changes and are modernized,” Pantus said at a meeting with the self -proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
He clarified that it was planned to make only a few UAVs, because the work of some types “is not economically useful.”
Remember, Lukashenka said that despite the sanctions, Belarus produces various types of weapons and sells them to 57 countries.
Earlier it was reported that Belarus plans to launch the production of shells for artillery and MLRS.
