The prosecution proved in court that the accused, in order to get an inheritance, ordered his friend to kill a parent.
A court in the Kyiv region found a 19-year-old boy guilty of ordering the murder of his father in order to receive an inheritance. The accused received 12 years in prison. The executor of the order was a friend of a young man, who was sentenced to 13 years in prison. This was reported to the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office on its Telegram channel on Thursday, February 27.
“Prosecutors proved in court that a 19-year-old boy ordered the murder of his own father in order to receive an inheritance. He told his friend a detailed plan of the house, as well as the location of all family members. The heir planned to pay part of the money received to a friend for the murder, and the rest – to spend on their own needs.
The perpetrator of the crime in March 2021 broke into a private house in the village of Gnedin, where a man lived. The attacker attacked the owner and stabbed him more than 25 times. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.
Until the entry into force of the sentence, both convicts will remain in custody.
Two perpetrators were found guilty under Article Ybeating (ordered murder – paragraphs 6, 11, 12, part 2, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
