Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh’s friendship created another viral moment at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.
The cast of “Everything Everywhere All Once” went wild when Curtis was announced as the winner of Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her role in the multiverse epic.
Stephanie Hsu, who was also nominated in the category, screamed and jumped up when her co-star’s name was angrily called out by favorite Angela Bassett.
Yeoh hugged Curtis, who gave his co-star a big kiss before taking the stage.
At last month’s Golden Globes, Curtis went viral for her jubilant reaction to Yeoh’s win for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
Curtis has been Yeoh’s biggest cheerleader throughout awards season and even she started chanting her friend’s name during his acceptance speech on Sunday. Yeoh is nominated for Best Actress at the ceremony.
“Michelle Yeoh, I love you, I love you, I love you!” she said as Yeoh tearfully looked on from the audience.
It was the first time Curtis won a SAG Award. She was nominated again in 1995 for her performance in True Lies.
“I know you’re looking at me and thinking, ‘Nepo baby,'” she said during her acceptance speech. “But the truth is I’m 64 and it’s just amazing.”
Curtis is also nominated for an Oscar for the first time this year.
