Kazakhstan authorities believe that the position of the PRC regarding the “political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis” should be supported, as it helps to stop the bloodshed.
Kazakhstan has come out with support for China’s “peace plan” to resolve the war in Ukraine. This was stated in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
“The Republic of Kazakhstan accepts the position of the People’s Republic of China on the political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine, which deserves support, as contributing to the cessation of bloodshed based on the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of states in accordance with the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations. We consider that there is no alternative to a peaceful solution to this problem based solely on international law and the principles of the UN Charter,” the statement said.
Kazakhstan said that they are in favor of the parties involved in the military conflict “showing good will, stop fighting and quickly sit at the negotiating table, and the world community in every way contributes to the diplomatic resolution of the situation .”
The Foreign Ministry also added that they noted the similarity of China’s and Kazakhstan’s approaches to solving the problems of our time, as set forth in the Concept of the Global Security Initiative of the People’s Republic of China.
Remember, on February 24, China presented a “peace plan” to resolve the war on the territory of Ukraine. The document gives a ceasefire and peace talks between Ukraine and Russia as key points.
In response to the initiative, the United States said that China may stop at the first point of the plan, namely respect for the sovereignty of all countries.
