Artillery radar complex for reconnaissance and firing of ground artillery ARK-1 was put into service in 1977. The protection of its calculation and equipment from small arms is provided by the chassis of the armored tractor MT-LB.
Radar “Lynx” was developed as a fully autonomous complex with its own means of navigation, orientation, geolocation and communication. All equipment, components and mechanisms of the ARC, except for two emitters and an antenna for receiving signals, are located inside the case.
Artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began combat operations with this technique in 2014.
