Britain will give away 3,000 Eurovision tickets to refugees from Ukraine

The British Ministry of Culture will provide 3,000 tickets for Ukrainian refugees free of charge.

The UK has allocated 10 million pounds and 3,000 tickets for Ukrainians to the Eurovision Song Contest, which Ukraine will open in Liverpool. This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Alexander Tkachenko on Telegram on Saturday, February 25.

“10 million pounds for the event and 3,000 tickets for Ukrainians to Eurovision! Thanks to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport of Britain for such support,” he wrote.

According to the minister, the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool will be held under the sign of Ukrainian culture.

“It will be large-scale. We have planned a strong program to represent Ukraine in Britain. And Ukrainians, who were forced to leave their homes because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, will be able to attend one of the concerts,” said Tkachenko, thanking the UK for this opportunity.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Liverpool from 9 to 13 May.
