Tourists are strongly advised not to hike in the mountains of the Carpathians this weekend, February 25-26. This was reported by the press center of the State Emergency Service on Facebook.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on February 25-26, due to a snowstorm and snowfalls, a significant snow hazard (level 3) is expected in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions.
Currently cloudy at Mount Pip Ivan Chernogorsky, visibility limited to 50 meters. West wind 8 m/s, air temperature -5°C.
“Therefore, we urge everyone not to take risks and not go on mountain trips this weekend. After all, the weather conditions will be difficult, even if you are an experienced hiker – do not put your life on danger!” – stated in the message of the State Emergency Service.
