Some Western politicians fear that if fighters are handed over to Ukraine, it will use them to attack the Russian Federation.
Ukraine can guarantee partner countries that it will use weapons provided by the West to liberate Russian-occupied territory. This was announced on Wednesday, February 22, by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrinform reports.
“We use the weapons we receive from partners to strike Russia, which is located in the occupied territories of Ukraine,” Kuleba stressed.
He emphasized that Ukraine exercises its right to self-defense, which is stated in the UN Charter, and therefore has the right to receive all necessary weapons.
“We can guarantee that we will use Western weapons to liberate the territory of Ukraine,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed.
Recall that, according to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, the initiative to transfer Western fighters to Ukraine already exists, so it remains only to organize an “aircraft coalition.”
Reznikov also stated that Western partners are “ripe” for the transfer of aircraft to Ukraine and the issue should be resolved within one to two months.
