The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence of the guilt of the head of the “spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol” created by the aggressor in crimes against our state.
The press service of the SBU on February 21 said that after the start of a full-scale invasion, the mufti publicly supported the armed aggression of Russia and justified the war crimes of the Russian invaders.
In September 2022, the henchman of the occupiers actively called on the Crimean Tatar population of the peninsula to help the occupying groups and mobilize.
To spread pro-Kremlin propaganda, he repeatedly appeared on the air of central Russian television channels.
He regularly justified the seizure of the Ukrainian peninsula and the criminal activities of the leaders of the local occupation administration.
At the same time, the collaborator “defiantly” condemns representatives of the Crimean Tatar people who oppose the Kremlin and fight for Ukraine.
For his “efforts” in favor of Moscow, the mufti was awarded a medal and an order from the so-called “head of the Crimea” Aksenov.
On the basis of the evidence collected by the SBU, the defendant was reported on suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 3 Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
- Part 6 Art. 111-1 (collaboration activity).
The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison.
He is currently in the temporarily occupied Crimea. However, SBU officers are taking comprehensive measures to bring him to justice.
