USAID began to transfer methanol to Kyiv, which is necessary for the production of “blue” fuel, Ukrgasdobycha said.
JSC Ukrgasdobycha will receive six thousand tons of methanol. It is a critical feedstock for the extraction, treatment and transportation of natural gas. The first batch of methanol has now entered the warehouses. This was reported by the company’s press service.
The methanol was obtained in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the report said.
With the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, there was a shortage of a large amount of materials and equipment for gas production, said the acting director. Director General of Ukrgasdobycha Oleg Tolmachev.
“Therefore, since last year, we have been talking to companies and organizations from around the world for help in their provision to maintain the stability of production processes. USAID representatives were among the first to respond to our request, and we thank them for it,” he said. .
To recall, the head of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov said that Ukrgasdobycha will conduct a 3D seismic survey in western Ukraine to search for gas.
Let’s add that in 2022 Ukrgasvydobycha drilled 47 new wells, which is almost no different from the pre-war numbers.
