In Bulgaria, law enforcement found another truck in which 43 people were hidden, ten of them children. The incident occurred shortly after a truck with 18 dead bodies was found in the country. District Attorney Natalya Nikolova said about it, bTV reports.
The truck was stopped near the town of Ihtiman, in western Bulgaria. According to Nikolova, all 43 migrants, despite the long stay in the cramped space of the minibus, appear to be healthy. There are ten children among them, the youngest is eight years old.
The prosecutor pointed out that the truck was stopped after the driver failed to pay for fuel at a gas station. He was detained.
The bodies of 18 migrants were reportedly found on Friday in a hidden compartment under a load of lumber in a truck abandoned on a highway near the village of Lokorsko, 20 kilometers northeast of the Bulgarian capital Sofia.
