Russia continues to develop several offensive directions in the east of Ukraine – Vuhledar, Kremennaya and Bakhmut.
This was announced today, February 20, by the press service of the British Ministry of Defense, citing intelligence data.
It is noted that the number of victims among the Russian invaders remains high, especially in Bakhmut and Vugledar.
In particular, the “elite” 155th and 40th marine infantry brigades suffered very heavy losses in Vugledar and are probably ineffective in combat, the report says.
In addition, as the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine approaches, Russian forces are likely to come under increasing political pressure.
In all likelihood, Russia will claim that Bakhmut was captured by the anniversary, regardless of the real situation on the ground. If Russia’s spring offensive does nothing, tensions within the Russian leadership are likely to rise.
