In Ukraine, as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion, 461 children have already died, and another 926 children have been injured.
This was announced today, February 20, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
These figures are not final. Work is underway to install them in places of warfare, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the department notes.
Children in the following regions suffered the most:
- Donetsk region – 445;
- Kharkiv region – 272;
- Kyiv region – 123;
- Kherson region – 89;
- Zaporozhye region – 84;
- Mykolaiv region – 83;
- Chernihiv region – 68;
- Lugansk region – 66;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 64.
In particular, yesterday, February 19, as a result of shelling by the enemy of the village of Burgunka, Kherson region, two boys aged eight and 13 were wounded.
