Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will arrive in Kyiv next week and announce a new military aid package for Ukraine, writes Il Fatto Quotidiano.
According to the publication, before visiting Ukraine, Meloni plans to stay in Warsaw and talk with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
It is noted that during a visit to Kyiv, scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, Meloni will announce the delivery of the SAMP-T missile defense system, which Italy is moving together with France.
The media did not name other details of the military aid package. However, it is already known that Italy is not planning to transfer tanks to Ukraine due to their small number in the Italian army itself.
Also, Meloni would not discuss the possibility of transferring F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Italy, together with France, is completing preparations for the transfer of the SAMP / T anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine.
Ukraine will also soon receive the AMX-10 RC light wheeled tank promised by Paris.
