Apparently, Elon Musk either started the trend or already knew what was coming. Now instagram one that will charge for a subscription so that users can receive benefits, and the most notable of these is the presence of a verified account icon.
The new feature, already referenced in the app’s source code, will also provide other benefits, although it is not yet known how much it will cost and in which countries it will initially work.
Instagram paid, reality
According to the support page instagramthe service will be called Target confirmed and at least for the launch it won’t be in Peru.
“Meta verified available for personal or professional Instagram profiles that qualify. Currently, company profiles cannot request a subscription to Target confirmed, specifies the company.
The subscription will include the following benefits for paid users:

- Customer service for the most common problems
- Active Phishing Monitoring
- Priority for Meta Verified profiles in other people’s comments
- Recommendations on the Explore page and Instagram videos
- Exclusive stickers in Instagram Stories
The meta indicates that this subscription must be made for every profile in your account. instagram and is not transferred to the linked Facebook account.
Account security
There are few details, but they will come gradually.
